Here we Discussed about the 15 Cons of Calendly Scheduling software

1. When setting up work hours after the initial setup, the flow of finding what you need feels disjointed and you can get lost when you’re trying to find the setting you need. This is a drawback because it makes setting up work hours difficult to do. You may not be able to successfully set up your work hours.

2. The Calendly app tends to crash occasionally. The occasional crashing of the app can be very disappointing and frustrating because when you’re in the middle of something; the app could crash abruptly, making it difficult for you to complete what you have started. You may need to restart the app and start all over again, thereby losing all that you have been doing.

3. The software is very basic. Calendly scheduling software is very basic with very limited features. There are a lot of features that are expected to be in a scheduling software that are not available in Calendly. Due to its limited features, users can’t perform advanced functions on the Calendly scheduling software. Upgrading of the software’s functionality is required.

4. It is not built for Outlook 2019. Calendly scheduling software is not built for Outlook 2019; hence users with Outlook 2019 can’t use Calendly. This is very challenging for users with Outlook 2019 who may want to use Calendly for their scheduling tasks.

5. Limited integrations. Calendly has very limited integrations with other third-party solutions. Due to its limited integrations, users can integrate it with most of their work tools, making it difficult for them to work seamlessly with Calendly. It would be better if Calendly has more integration with more tools that users use for their day-to-day work.

6. It doesn’t offer quite a wide variety of options for customization. The Calendly scheduling software doesn’t offer a wide variety for customization to suit user’s preferences. Users are limited to how much they can customize the system to suit their preferences. This means that you can’t always have everything you want using this software. This could affect user’s productivity using this software.

7. Customer service is non-existent. You will hardly find anyone to talk to at the other end responding to user’s issues or inquiries. There is absolutely no good customer support team. If you want to get hold of someone at the other end, you may just hit an endpoint. If you have an issue or problem that needs urgent attention or assistance, you may be stuck as you can’t get a hold of any customer support team.

8. The Calendly system is built around individual booking pages. This can pose a challenge if you’ve got multiple campaigns that land on booking pages built for different purposes. This could affect your bookings. It will be better if Calendly provides a workflow system that allows users route bookings depending on conditions.

9. Inability to integrate multiple calendars into Calendly. There is no way to integrate multiple calendars into Calendly so that it would see existing Personal and Professional things that users have scheduled. This is a limitation in the system that could have been avoided.

10. Calendly is restrictive in analytics. For example, you can’t easily see how many people clicked to schedule an event but didn’t complete their bookings. If someone was in the process of making a booking but didn’t follow through with it, you won’t be able to know how many people did something like this. You can only know the numbers of people that booked for an event but you can’t know the numbers of people that clicked to book for an event but didn’t complete their bookings.

11. Interface is not very intuitive and tasks can be difficult from a user interface standpoint. Most users find it difficult to use Calendly because some settings and menus are hidden within the interface that are not easily found. Users could get confused because some settings and menus are not readily available for them.

It can be quite challenging to figure how exactly where and how to adjust all of the setup preferences. Some of the settings are hidden as sub-sections under other pages. This makes it even more difficult for first-timers to use the Calendly software.

12. The re-schedule feature from the Account side is not so great. For instance, if you are the account manager and someone scheduled a meeting through your link, the person has the option to re-schedule based on your open availability. However, you as the account manager only can re-schedule for a time you select with no ability to give the person who originally scheduled the meeting a choice to reschedule a new meeting date or time. It would be better if Calendly provide re-scheduling options that could be sent from the account side asking the person who scheduled a meeting to select a new time from the list of current/future availability.

13. The free account allows you to only predefine one-time slot. For example, predefine one-time slot of 30 minutes. This means that when someone wants to book an appointment, they will only have a chance to save a 30 minutes window in your calendar. To have more options, you will have to pay $8 a month or $12 for the pro version. To set up links for multiple people, you need to set up an account per team member. All these can add up the cost.

14. Sharing meeting links is quite difficult. Users need to always copy and paste links to meetings in emails that they will send to other people. This can be very challenging and time-consuming. It would be better if Calendly provides an easier way to share meeting links so that users to have to waste time and energy copying and pasting meeting links.

15. Unavailability of toggled login. Toggled login would be beneficial to allow users to easily log in to their different Calendly accounts. For instance, a user with two Calendly accounts finds it difficult or impossible. This means that a user can’t have two Calendly accounts. For this reason, users are forced to use another scheduling software for the same service because they can’t have two Calendly accounts and toggle between the accounts they want to access. It would be great if Calendly make it possible for a single user to have two or more Calendly accounts and easily toggle between them to access any of them.
